💭 ONE THOUGHT
3 Questions Every Teammate Must Answer

Every team has talent. But talent alone doesn’t make a great team.
What really matters is trust, commitment, and care.
Lou Holtz, legendary football coach, believed every teammate is silently asking these three questions about the people they play with:
Can I trust you?
Are you committed to excellence?
Do you care about me?
Answering yes to all three doesn’t require a title. It just requires showing up the right way, every day.
1. Can I Trust You?
Trust isn’t built by talking. It’s built by doing.
It’s knowing that when the game’s on the line, you’ll rotate on defense, sprint back, make the extra pass, and not point fingers.
Trust is:
Being on time
Owning your mistakes
Working hard, whether you’re starting or not
Doing the right thing, even when no one’s watching
Want to be trusted?
Be reliable. Be consistent. Be the same person every day.
2. Are You Committed to Excellence?
Great teammates bring effort all the time, not just when they feel good or when the lights are on.
Commitment shows up in the little things:
Going hard in every drill
Staying positive when your role changes
Lifting your teammates with energy, not attitude
Choosing team success over personal stats
Your teammates don’t need you to be perfect. They need you to be all in.
3. Do You Care About Me?
This is the separator.
Do you treat your teammates like family or just like people you have to play with?
Caring shows up in:
Encouraging a teammate after a mistake
Sending a text after a tough loss
Helping someone through a slump
Cheering just as loud from the bench as you would on the floor
When teammates know you care, they’ll fight harder with you and for you.
The Takeaway:
If you want to be a great teammate, ask yourself:
Can they trust me?
Do they know I’m committed?
Have I shown that I care?
Be someone others can count on.
Be someone others want to compete with.
Be someone who makes the team better.
Reflection for Athletes and Team Leaders:
What do your habits say about your commitment?
What’s one way you could build more trust this week?
Who on your team needs to know you care?
Great teams aren’t built by chance.
They’re built by teammates who choose to lead, regardless of role.

𝐗 POSTS FROM OTHERS
Respect your elders but don't follow their advice blindly.
Sometimes it's right.
Other times it's wrong.
Often they didn't follow it themselves.
And most commonly, it leads to a life like theirs which you don't want but they never asked because they just like talking.— Alex Hormozi (@AlexHormozi)

QUIET GYMS ARE LOSING GYMS
"When you see a teammate do something that is really good, tell him.
If you see something he can do better, build him up and help him with that." (Jon Scheyer)
