💭 ONE THOUGHT
The 3 Energies of Champions
I’m convinced that leadership boils down to one thing: Energy.
Think about it - every successful team has leaders who bring a unique energy that everyone else feels.
The question is: What kind of energy do you exude?
There are 3 types of energy that define championship cultures:
#1: Positive Energy
Positivity is powerful. It keeps morale high, lifts teammates when things get tough, and keeps everyone engaged.
Positive energy, more than just a “good vibe,” is about resilience, support, and the belief that the team can handle anything together.
Positive energy is contagious, making every challenge a bit easier to handle.
Check out this video on Energy Givers vs. Energy Takers from Dr. Kimberly Amirault-Ryan.
#2: Competitive Energy
Winning teams always have leaders who are relentless competitors.
Competitive energy drives players to push harder, dig deeper, and refuse to lose. It’s an energy that sets high standards and doesn’t allow anyone to coast.
When leaders show that every play, every game, and every moment counts, the entire team follows.
#3: Team-First Energy
In the best teams, leaders make it clear: It’s not about me; it’s about us.
Team-first energy keeps the ego in check and reinforces a culture of selflessness and TEAM.
Leaders who bring this energy remind everyone that the team comes first, and that’s what makes the sacrifices worth it.
Wrapping Up…
Why do some teams consistently win?
Because they have leaders who transfer the right energy to others, what are these energies?

Good Luck!
P.S. How do you systematically build the type of leaders you need to win? Hundreds of coaches are using the Team Leader OS. Check out the video below for more.
TEAM LEADER OS
Player-led Teams Win! How do you systematically develop your team leaders? I created the Team Leader OS for this reason. It is flexible, practical, and easy to implement. It was made by coaches and for coaches.

📜 TWO QUOTES
“Basketball is a game of sacrificing yourself for the next guy, being a team that takes good shots, and taking the right shots”
“Discipline helps you finish a job, and finishing is what separates excellent work from average work.”
𝐗 THREE POSTS FROM OTHERS
The longer your in this game called life, the more you understand that people are people.
Doesn't matter age, experience or expertise.
It's why you can read Montaigne from 500 years ago or Seneca from 2k years ago, and they're debating the same human issues that we are today.

Be great without being high maintenance. Show up on time, wear the right stuff, be coachable, support your teammates & give 100% every time you practice/play. High maintenance is hard. Coaches love low maintenance players who buy into the process. You’re what makes coaching fun!

Without a leadership philosophy or system, you're simply improvising, relying on quick fixes and hoping they’ll create real change. That won't cut it long-term.
