💭 ONE THOUGHT
The 3 Energies of Champions

I’m convinced that leadership boils down to one thing: Energy.

Think about it - every successful team has leaders who bring a unique energy that everyone else feels.

The question is: What kind of energy do you exude?

There are 3 types of energy that define championship cultures:

#1: Positive Energy

Positivity is powerful. It keeps morale high, lifts teammates when things get tough, and keeps everyone engaged.

Positive energy, more than just a “good vibe,” is about resilience, support, and the belief that the team can handle anything together.

Positive energy is contagious, making every challenge a bit easier to handle.

Check out this video on Energy Givers vs. Energy Takers from Dr. Kimberly Amirault-Ryan.

#2: Competitive Energy

Winning teams always have leaders who are relentless competitors.

Competitive energy drives players to push harder, dig deeper, and refuse to lose. It’s an energy that sets high standards and doesn’t allow anyone to coast.

When leaders show that every play, every game, and every moment counts, the entire team follows.

#3: Team-First Energy

In the best teams, leaders make it clear: It’s not about me; it’s about us.

Team-first energy keeps the ego in check and reinforces a culture of selflessness and TEAM.

Leaders who bring this energy remind everyone that the team comes first, and that’s what makes the sacrifices worth it.

Wrapping Up…

Why do some teams consistently win?

Because they have leaders who transfer the right energy to others, what are these energies?

  1. Positive Energy

  2. Competitive Energy

  3. Team-First Energy

Ask yourself today…

What energy am I bringing to my team?

Good Luck!
