đ ONE THOUGHT
10 âWe Willâ Commitments

Great teams arenât built on talent alone.
Theyâre built on trust, accountability, and shared commitments â Clear, actionable promises that every teammate lives by.
When a team consistently lives out its commitments, it becomes more than a group of individuals.
It becomes the standard.
It shapes the culture.
It builds championship habits.
The 10 âWe Willâ Commitments
1. We will prioritize the WE over ME. Selflessness is the cornerstone of every great team. No one succeeds unless the team does. WE > ME.
2. We will put 100% EFFORT into everything we do. Effort is non-negotiable. Talent might win games, but effort wins championships. No Deposit, No Return!
3. We will COMMUNICATE openly and honestly. Trust starts with clear and honest communication. Leaders set the tone by speaking with purpose and listening with intention. Where there is a void in communication, negativity fills it!
4. We will stay POSITIVE, even in adversity. Positivity fuels resilience. Great teams donât crumble under pressure â they rise to the challenge. Positive energy wins!
5. We will hold ourselves and each other ACCOUNTABLE. Accountability isnât just the coachâs job. Itâs everyoneâs responsibility to uphold the standard. Winning teams hold each other accountable.
6. We will RESPECT everyoneâs role and contribution. Success depends on every player knowing their value and fulfilling their role. No role is too small. Over-communicate roles. Clarity builds confidence.
7. We will COMPETE with purpose and focus every day. Champions treat every practice, game, and rep as an opportunity to improve. Win the day!
8. We will LEARN and grow from our mistakes. Failure is inevitable, but how your team responds to it determines its success. Growth is a choice. Failure is growth!
9. We will stay DISCIPLINED in our habits and actions. Discipline isnât flashy â itâs the daily choices that separate good teams from great ones. Discipline yourself so no one else has to!
10. We will CELEBRATE success together, big and small. Recognizing progress and success keeps the team motivated and connected. MUDITA!

Parents: Teach kids that their relationship with their coach is THEIR relationship. They have to take the initiative to work out issues instead of depending on you to do it. Donât intervene on their behalf unless itâs absolutely necessary. That kind of independence is invaluable!

The problem is not ambition. The problem is too many dumb jobs, too many dumb metrics, and too many people connecting their self-worth to external validation and the approval of others.
We need people fired up about meaningful pursuits. Progress depends upon it.
